Bonjour Tout Le Monde,

It's 2019!

Fast forward to June 3, 2019 - 2019 is almost over. To think that we are officially in the 6th month of the year, it's absolutely insane! Nonetheless, I hope that the year has treated you all well.!

So, let's talk a bit about 2018! 2018 was quite the year for me and 2019 is already off to a great and riveting start. For me, 2019 is a year of introspection and growth. I have decided to focus on a few key items, such as:

  • My spiritual identity and walk
  • My overall identity/purpose
  • My pursuit of happiness
  • My ability to live life to its fullest

I think, as a millennial ( I actually despise this label), we are constantly in this cycle of work. We are all wanting to 'make an impact' and to change the world. We are all essentially on this journey of figuring out what our respective purposes are and aiming to leave some sort of thumbprint wherever we go. I love that we are like this, but at times it becomes quite tiring. Constantly moving without taking time out to just breathe can become exhausting quite quickly.

With that, one of my goals for the remainder of 2019 is to become consistent and live 'in the moment'. In a world where social media has grown to be quite large and influential, one constantly struggles with living in 'their' moment and not the one that world has fed you. One constantly struggles while toiling their hands in new pursuits, but never necessarily mastering the one that was previously started. I am certainly guilty as charged!

So, my struggle has been consistency on my blog. In my head, I have this notion that my blog doesn't look the way that I want, so I am often discouraged to blog. But something amazing happened. A lady on Instagram reached out to me and inquired as to why I wasn't making posts. That conversation joggled something in me and made me realize that I had work to do. She redirected me to my statement of purpose for this blog and I remembered why I started it in the first place. So, as the picture states, my goal is to take it a day at a time and just create. Be it posts, the amount of happiness that I want to see in my life, or even simply the sort of change that I want. After all, consistent small steps make a complete picture (I'm pretty sure that's not the actual quote, but you get my point!).

Now, let's hope that it's enough to keep the flame burning! So, I am so excited to be back (AGAIN) and I look forward to posting a bit more regularly. I have a couple of exciting things in the works. I hope you all will continue to ride this wave with me!

Talk soon!
